Reason Six. Why I love Israel

When you stumble into a local store, do you find anywhere near the colors and choices that I see? Dried fruit, tea fruit, spices, halva, baked goods, and more? This is one of my favorite parts of Israel. And the smells. Oh, wow. The smells are a hit of home, and nostalgia all rolled into one. Home because I live here and nostalgia because when I first landed in Israel so many years ago and hitched my future to not only this land but also the people, one in particular. I have spent most of my adult life studying, living, loving, and writing about Israel, and I have no plans to stop anytime soon.

Here is reason six why I love Israel.
